Johannesburg-based precision water-cutting and -profiling company AquaJet Profiles noted record-high aluminium sales profit margins earlier this year, owing to the sanctions placed on Russian suppliers exporting to the US, claims AquaJet Profiles director Preeshan Naidoo. The sanctions were placed on Russia’s aluminium producer Rusal, the second-largest in the world outside of China, as well as several Russian oligarchs, businesses and agencies to punish Moscow for its alleged meddling in the 2016 US election.
