South African Fruit and Vegetables Canners Export Council (SAFVEC) GM Jill Atwood-Palm says the Gulfood Exhibition that took place in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from February 20 to 24, provided South African companies with an opportunity to increase exports globally. SAFVEC was part of a business delegation of 16 South African agro-processing companies that were assisted by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) through its Export Marketing and Investment Assistance (EMIA) Scheme to showcase their products.
