Global population hits eight-billion mark but growth slowing down – Stats SA

Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) on November 15 commemorated the global population having reached eight-billion, with the eight-billionth person born in the Philippines that morning. The global population had grown by about one-billion since 2010.
